Verma, arrested in connection with the April Noida workers' protest, seeks quashing of the detention orders, immediate release, and compensation. His plea argues he was in Lucknow during the protest and that CCTV footage and call records were not presented to the detaining authority.

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने केंद्र और उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार से पत्रकार सत्यम वर्मा की NSA के तहत हिरासत को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर जवाब मांगा है। वर्मा, जिन्हें अप्रैल में नोएडा श्रमिकों के विरोध के संबंध में गिरफ्तार किया गया था, हिरासत आदेशों को रद्द करने, तत्काल रिहाई और मुआवजे की मांग कर रहे हैं। उनकी याचिका में कहा गया है कि वे विरोध के दौरान लखनऊ में थे और सीसीटीवी फुटेज व कॉल रिकॉर्ड पेश नहीं किए गए थे।
