US Pretence Dropped, India Now Deals Openly

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that the United States once expected India to limit its trade options and focus primarily on its relationship with Washington. He noted that this expectation existed even as the US itself kept its own options open. Jaishankar observed that this pretence has now dropped, with countries openly engaging with one another. He affirmed that this shift signifies the structural evolution of international relations towards a multipolar world.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने कहा कि अमेरिका चाहता था कि भारत अपने व्यापार के विकल्प सीमित रखे और मुख्य रूप से वाशिंगटन के साथ अपने रिश्ते पर ध्यान केंद्रित करे। उन्होंने कहा कि यह उम्मीद तब भी थी जब अमेरिका खुद अपने विकल्प खुले रख रहा था। जयशंकर ने कहा कि अब यह दिखावा खत्म हो गया है और देश खुलकर एक-दूसरे से जुड़ रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यह बदलाव बहुध्रुवीय दुनिया की ओर अंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंधों के संरचनात्मक विकास को दर्शाता है।
