Nasa Astronaut Anil Menon Votes From Space

Times of India · world

Nasa astronaut Anil Menon, along with two other crew members, successfully cast their votes from the International Space Station (ISS) for the US midterm elections. Menon shared a video demonstrating the secure electronic voting process, which utilized his sleeping compartment as a polling booth. This capability allows astronauts to participate in democratic elections regardless of their location, with US astronauts voting from space since 1997. The process ensures ballot integrity through encryption and restricted access, maintaining their civic duty while on missions.
