Calcutta HC Extends Security Cover for Mahua Moitra in Krishnanagar Till November 30

The Calcutta High Court has extended the security cover for TMC MP Mahua Moitra in her Krishnanagar constituency until November 30. The court directed that two security personnel be provided to her whenever she visits the area. This decision comes in response to allegations of egg pelting and harassment during her previous visits. The court also ordered that Moitra's petition be placed before a division bench for further consideration. Moitra's counsel stated that incidents of mob attacks occurred even after the initial September 1 order.

कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट ने टीएमसी सांसद महुआ मोइत्रा की कृष्णानगर सीट पर सुरक्षा कवर 30 नवंबर तक बढ़ा दिया है। कोर्ट ने निर्देश दिया है कि जब भी वह उस इलाके में जाएंगी, उन्हें दो सुरक्षाकर्मी मुहैया कराए जाएं। यह फैसला उनकी पिछली यात्राओं के दौरान अंडे फेंके जाने और उत्पीड़न के आरोपों के जवाब में आया है। कोर्ट ने यह भी आदेश दिया कि मोइत्रा की याचिका को आगे की सुनवाई के लिए एक डिवीजन बेंच के सामने रखा जाए। मोइत्रा के वकील ने बताया कि शुरुआती 1 सितंबर के आदेश के बाद भी भीड़ द्वारा हमले की घटनाएं हुईं।
