Protesters supporting slain activist Parminder Singh Jhota blocked key roads across Mohali, Kharar, Zirakpur, and Derabassi on Thursday, disrupting public transport and halting quick-commerce deliveries. The statewide bandh, which continued until 5pm, affected major routes including the New Chandigarh Road and Airport Road. Commuters faced difficulties finding alternative transport, with shops and markets also remaining shut in several areas. Delivery agents also experienced challenges reaching customers due to the blockades. The disruptions eased after protesters lifted the blockades in the evening.
