RSS Friends Registers in US to Step Up Outreach and Correct Inaccuracies

A group of RSS well-wishers has registered with the U.S. Department of Justice as a foreign agent for the organization. Named RSS Friends, the group provided a Georgia address and listed the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in New Delhi as its foreign principal. The registration occurred under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) on August 27. Proposed activities include correcting inaccurate or incomplete information about the RSS and engaging in informational, educational, and public-relations efforts. The group stated it does not have a formal employment or lobbying agreement with the RSS.
