Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar believes focusing on his game without expectations helped him cope with a four-year absence from international cricket. He returned to the national team for a T20I against New Zealand after being a replacement for an injured player. Kumar stated that he did not chase the Indian jersey during this period, instead concentrating on improving his skills through the IPL and domestic cricket. He also acknowledged the evolution of T20 cricket and the challenges of bowling in overseas conditions.
