Assam MLA Akhil Gogoi has ended his 300-hour sit-in protest outside the Assam assembly after the state government agreed to key demands concerning flood relief. The government will provide interim financial assistance of Rs 15,000 each to 3,068 flood-hit families in Sivasagar constituency, totaling over Rs 4.60 crore. Additionally, a high-level inquiry will be conducted into the July floods in upper Assam. The government also committed to inviting fresh claims from eligible families previously excluded from the beneficiary lists.

असम के MLA अखिल गोगोई ने बाढ़ राहत से जुड़ी मुख्य मांगों पर राज्य सरकार के सहमत होने के बाद असम विधानसभा के बाहर अपना 300 घंटे का धरना समाप्त कर दिया है। सरकार शिवसागर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में बाढ़ से प्रभावित 3,068 परिवारों में से प्रत्येक को ₹15,000 की अंतरिम वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करेगी, जो कुल ₹4.60 करोड़ से अधिक है। इसके अतिरिक्त, ऊपरी असम में जुलाई की बाढ़ की उच्च-स्तरीय जांच की जाएगी। सरकार ने पहले लाभार्थी सूची से बाहर रखे गए योग्य परिवारों से नए दावे आमंत्रित करने का भी वादा किया है।
