Investment giant Blackstone has established its first global capability centre (GCC) outside the US in Bengaluru, India. This strategic move supports the firm's ambitious plan to double its India investments to $100 billion over the next five years, up from its current $51 billion. The Bengaluru team, initially comprising 80 employees and expected to grow to over 100 by year-end, will integrate with Blackstone's global operations. This expansion reflects the firm's significant growth, with assets under management quadrupling to nearly $1.4 trillion in the past decade.
