Premanand Maharaj's Vrindavan Ashram Suspends Initiations After Disciple's Death
Times of India · spirituality
Premanand Maharaj's ashram in Vrindavan has suspended final initiation ceremonies and scheduled meetings indefinitely from October 1 following the death of a 25-year-old disciple. Initiated disciples staying in Vrindavan are now banned from wearing customary yellow and white clothes, instead asked to dress like ordinary devotees. These changes at Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram follow the controversial death of Deepak Lodhi, who fell from a building. Police are investigating the circumstances, examining CCTV footage, and questioning other disciples.
