Congress Questions Ram Temple Donation Theft Probe

The Congress has questioned the scope of the Special Investigation Team's probe into alleged theft of devotees' offerings at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Party leader Jairam Ramesh asked why key temple management functionaries were not named as accused and highlighted a 21-day delay in registering an FIR after cash recovery. He pointed out that over 100 instances of offerings being removed were recorded. Ramesh called for an impartial investigation under Supreme Court supervision to fix responsibility for the theft.

कांग्रेस ने राम मंदिर, अयोध्या में भक्तों के चढ़ावे की कथित चोरी की जांच कर रही स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम (SIT) के दायरे पर सवाल उठाए हैं। जयराम रमेश ने पूछा कि मंदिर प्रबंधन के मुख्य लोगों को आरोपी क्यों नहीं बनाया गया। उन्होंने नकदी मिलने के 21 दिन बाद FIR दर्ज होने में देरी पर भी जोर दिया। रमेश ने कहा कि चढ़ावे के 100 से ज़्यादा बार हटाए जाने के मामले दर्ज हुए हैं। उन्होंने चोरी के लिए ज़िम्मेदार लोगों का पता लगाने के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट की निगरानी में निष्पक्ष जांच की मांग की।
