Five Kuki men have been killed in Manipur within a 24-hour period, escalating tensions in the region. Three were killed in an exchange of gunfire in Noney district, while two missing civilians were found dead the following day. These incidents occurred as Meitei organizations rallied for the termination of the Suspension of Operations agreement with Kuki-Zo armed groups. Naga civil society groups also supported this demand, citing involvement in violence. The renewed killings bring the toll in clashes between Naga and Kuki groups since February to 68.
