West Bengal to Introduce Strict Laws Against 'Love & Land Jihad' Post UCC

West Bengal's Chief Minister, Subhendu Adhikari, announced that after implementing the UCC, the state government will introduce stringent laws against 'love jihad', 'land jihad', and religious conversions. Adhikari requested six months to fulfill these promises, stating the government will operate within the constitution but will not tolerate attacks on Indian culture and traditions. He also referenced recent protests at Jadavpur University, calling for the removal of 'anti-national forces'.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुभेंदु अधिकारी ने घोषणा की है कि यूसीसी लागू करने के बाद, राज्य सरकार 'लव जिहाद', 'लैंड जिहाद' और धर्म परिवर्तन के खिलाफ कड़े कानून लाएगी। अधिकारी ने इन वादों को पूरा करने के लिए छह महीने का समय मांगा, यह कहते हुए कि सरकार संविधान के दायरे में काम करेगी लेकिन भारतीय संस्कृति और परंपराओं पर हमले बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगी। उन्होंने जाधवपुर विश्वविद्यालय में हालिया विरोध प्रदर्शनों का भी जिक्र किया और 'राष्ट्र-विरोधी ताकतों' को हटाने की मांग की।
