EPFO Salary Limit Increased to ₹25,000

The Union Cabinet has approved a significant decision to raise the EPFO monthly salary limit from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. This move, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will impact employees earning between ₹15,000 and ₹25,000 monthly in covered establishments. An estimated 51 lakh additional workers will now be eligible for social security benefits like EPF, EPS, and EDLI. While this expansion offers broader coverage, it may lead to a slight reduction in in-hand salaries due to increased PF deductions.

कैबिनेट ने ईपीएफओ की मासिक सैलरी लिमिट ₹15,000 से बढ़ाकर ₹25,000 करने का बड़ा फैसला लिया है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में हुए इस फैसले से ₹15,000 से ₹25,000 कमाने वाले कर्मचारियों को फायदा होगा। करीब 51 लाख और कर्मचारी अब EPF, EPS और EDLI जैसी सामाजिक सुरक्षा योजनाओं के दायरे में आ जाएंगे। हालांकि, पीएफ कटौती बढ़ने से कुछ लोगों की इन-हैंड सैलरी थोड़ी कम हो सकती है।
