This comes after Elon Musk alleged that "certain oligarchs" were blocking his Starlink service to maintain a monopoly. India's telecom market has three private players, and all three satellite communication companies, including Starlink, Eutelsat OneWeb, and Jio Satcom, have received licenses but require spectrum and security clearance. The government has clarified that all licensees must demonstrate compliance with security norms before proceeding.
