India-US Trade Pact Operational Once Competitive Advantage Secured: Piyush Goyal

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal announced that the first phase of the India-U.S. trade pact has been finalized and is undergoing legal drafting. He stated that the agreement will be operationalized once India secures a competitive advantage over peer countries. Goyal also mentioned that trade pact negotiations are ongoing with regions including Israel, Chile, GCC, and the Eurasian Economic Union. Additionally, he confirmed that the India-EU free trade agreement will be signed in December and implemented by February or March of the following year.

केंद्रीय वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने घोषणा की कि भारत-अमेरिका व्यापार समझौते का पहला चरण अंतिम रूप दिया जा चुका है और यह कानूनी मसौदा तैयार करने की प्रक्रिया में है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह समझौता तब लागू किया जाएगा जब भारत को प्रतिस्पर्धी देशों पर बढ़त हासिल हो जाएगी। गोयल ने यह भी बताया कि इज़राइल, चिली, GCC और यूरेशियन इकोनॉमिक यूनियन सहित अन्य क्षेत्रों के साथ व्यापार समझौते पर बातचीत चल रही है। इसके अतिरिक्त, उन्होंने पुष्टि की कि भारत-यूरोपीय संघ मुक्त व्यापार समझौता दिसंबर में हस्ताक्षरित किया जाएगा और अगले साल फरवरी या मार्च तक लागू हो जाएगा।
