NCERT has updated the Class 9 Social Science syllabus with a new textbook, 'Understanding Society: India and Beyond'. The revised curriculum now includes topics like personal finance, income tax calculation, government policies, and Indian business models. Students will learn about managing personal finances, including income tax slabs and the importance of timely tax payment. The syllabus also incorporates lessons on traditional governance symbols like the 'Sengol' and national mottos. Business case studies of Lijjat Papad and Oberoi Hotels will be part of the entrepreneurship chapter.
