Times of India · india

Residents of Gangabad panchayat in Odisha's Gajapati district have reportedly crossed into neighbouring Andhra Pradesh to cast their votes in the state's rural elections. A former sarpanch claimed around 200 residents from his panchayat are on Andhra Pradesh's electoral rolls. Police deployed along the border stated they have no specific information about individuals crossing over to vote. Officials from both Odisha districts had previously urged border village residents not to participate in Andhra Pradesh's polls, despite some holding voter ID cards for both states.
