Nine Killed As Bus Catches Fire Near Delhi

At least nine passengers died when an overnight sleeper bus caught fire outside Delhi on Wednesday. The blaze reportedly started in the bus's air conditioning unit while it was travelling on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida. The driver and conductor managed to escape and have since absconded. A passenger described a chaotic escape amidst heavy smoke. This incident is the latest in a series of deadly bus fires reported in the region.
