SEBI has cancelled the registrations of eight investment advisers. This action was taken due to their failure to pay the required renewal fees. The regulatory body has also introduced relaxed KYC requirements for Non-Resident Indians, Overseas Citizens of India, and foreign nationals. These changes aim to simplify digital onboarding processes for individuals from FATF-compliant countries, allowing for remote verification and reducing the need for physical presence in India.
