Delhi designer Midushi Kochhar, inspired by her childhood fascination with natural objects, launched YLEM to transform waste materials into new products. Her venture uses eggshells combined with a biobinder to create decorative tableware, with a Delhi egg-processing company now supplying waste materials. Collaborating with her mother, Sakshi Kochhar, who has a fashion background, they developed 'hasiroo' slippers from fallen leaves. These slippers, made by units in Delhi, were ordered at a rate of over 400 pairs per month at Rs 500 each by July 2022.
