Residents of Kadungalloor panchayat are facing significant health issues and foul smells attributed to the Edayar industrial area. Despite complaints to the Kerala State Pollution Control Board, lasting solutions have not been found. Panchayat president Geetha Salimkumar highlighted breathing difficulties and the impact on children, stating industries must adhere to environmental laws. कडंगल्लूर पंचायत के निवासी एडेयार औद्योगिक क्षेत्र के कारण गंभीर स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं और बदबू का सामना कर रहे हैं। केरल राज्य प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड से शिकायत के बावजूद, स्थायी समाधान नहीं मिला है। पंचायत अध्यक्ष गीता सलीमकुमार ने सांस लेने में कठिनाई और बच्चों पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव पर प्रकाश डाला, और कहा कि उद्योगों को पर्यावरण कानूनों का पालन करना चाहिए। वार्ड सदस्य अब्दुल रियास सी ए ने मुख्यमंत्री से तत्काल हस्तक्षेप की अपील की है, जिसमें वायु गुणवत्ता का वैज्ञानिक मूल्यांकन और प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले प्रतिष्ठानों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई का अनुरोध किया गया है।
