Rebel TMC MP Claims 17 MPs Joining BJP

Seventeen of 20 Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) MPs are expected to join the BJP around Durga Puja, according to rebel TMC leader Jagadish Chandra Barma Basunia. He stated that the switch would be made collectively by more than two-thirds of the MPs to avoid disqualification under the anti-defection law. Three MPs from minority communities will reportedly support the NDA from outside.

राष्ट्रवादी सिटीजन्स पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया (NCPI) के 20 में से 17 सांसदों के दुर्गा पूजा के आसपास BJP में शामिल होने की उम्मीद है। यह बात बागी TMC नेता जगदीश चंद्र बर्मा बसुनिया ने कही। उन्होंने बताया कि दल-बदल कानून से बचने के लिए दो-तिहाई से ज़्यादा सांसद मिलकर यह कदम उठाएंगे। तीन अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय के सांसद बाहर से NDA का समर्थन करेंगे।
