Man Arrested Under Pocso Act For Sexually Assaulting Survivor Again

Police in Thiruvananthapuram have arrested a 25-year-old man, Riyazuddin, for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old survivor for a second time. The accused had previously been jailed for 20 months for a similar offense in 2024, after meeting the survivor on Instagram and promising marriage. Following his release, he allegedly re-established contact and committed further assaults over two months. He then took the survivor to his native place in Malappuram before being apprehended by police. The investigation is ongoing.

तिरुवनंतपुरम में पुलिस ने 25 साल के रियाजुद्दीन को 15 साल की पीड़िता से दूसरी बार कथित तौर पर यौन उत्पीड़न करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी को 2024 में इसी तरह के अपराध के लिए 20 महीने जेल की सजा हुई थी, जब वह इंस्टाग्राम पर पीड़िता से मिला था और शादी का वादा किया था। रिहा होने के बाद, उसने कथित तौर पर फिर से संपर्क किया और दो महीने तक आगे भी उत्पीड़न किया। इसके बाद वह पीड़िता को अपने मूल स्थान मलप्पुरम ले गया, जहाँ पुलिस ने उसे पकड़ लिया। जांच जारी है।
