Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has labelled the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led protesters demanding the Chief Election Commissioner's resignation as 'anti-national forces' aiming to destabilise India. The CJP had called for a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, but police pre-emptively detained over 6,000 people across the city. Ranaut stated that ordinary citizens are now exposing these groups. The protests are related to alleged irregularities in electoral roll revisions. The Delhi Police maintained a heavy security presence, sealing central Delhi and diverting traffic.

अभिनेत्री और भाजपा सांसद कंगना रनौत ने कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के नेतृत्व वाले उन प्रदर्शनकारियों को 'राष्ट्र-विरोधी ताकतें' बताया है जो भारत को अस्थिर करने का लक्ष्य रखते हुए मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे की मांग कर रहे हैं। CJP ने दिल्ली के जंतर-मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन का आह्वान किया था, लेकिन पुलिस ने शहर भर में 6,000 से अधिक लोगों को पहले ही हिरासत में ले लिया। रनौत ने कहा कि आम नागरिक अब इन समूहों का पर्दाफाश कर रहे हैं। ये विरोध प्रदर्शन चुनावी सूची के पुनरीक्षण में कथित अनियमितताओं से संबंधित हैं। दिल्ली पुलिस ने भारी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बनाए रखी, मध्य दिल्ली को सील कर दिया और यातायात को डायवर्ट कर दिया।
