The complaint states that Parvinder was targeted for speaking out against the drug trade and its protectors. The father claims the main accused, Ashwani Kumar, along with armed accomplices, shot his son in front of him.

पंजाब के मानसा में ड्रग तस्करी के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने वाले कार्यकर्ता परविंदर सिंह झोटा की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। उनके पिता भीम सिंह ने FIR दर्ज कराई है और हत्या का आरोप ड्रग सिंडिकेट पर लगाया है। शिकायत में कहा गया है कि परविंदर को ड्रग व्यापार और उसके संरक्षकों के खिलाफ बोलने के कारण निशाना बनाया गया। पिता का दावा है कि मुख्य आरोपी अश्विनी कुमार ने अपने हथियारबंद साथियों के साथ मिलकर उनके बेटे को उनके सामने ही गोली मार दी।
