Business Standard · stocks

Indian metal stocks experienced significant selling pressure for the fourth consecutive session on Friday, with the Nifty Metal index dropping 3.5 per cent. All 15 constituents of the index traded in the red, led by Vedanta Aluminium Metal, which fell 6 per cent. Analysts attribute the decline to global economic uncertainty, rising energy prices, and declining investor sentiment towards cyclical stocks. Concerns over inflation and freight costs are rising as Brent crude prices surge.
