Hindustan Times · india

Twelve people were killed and 29 injured when a truck ran over devotees near Shitala Mata Temple in Gwalior before crashing into the temple's entrance gate late Saturday. Police suspect mechanical failure caused the driver to lose control on a slope, leading the truck to hit roadside stalls and people. The impact also caused a section of the gateway wall to collapse, trapping several individuals. All deceased are from Gwalior and neighbouring districts, with five sustaining grievous injuries and receiving hospital treatment.
