Pakistan Seeks Canada's Help On Indus Waters Treaty

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has sought Canadian assistance to revive the Indus Waters Treaty with India. Dar accused India of suspending the agreement and weaponizing water, urging adherence to international law. India, however, states its position remains suspended due to terrorism. Pakistan considers the Indus River vital for its survival and vows to protect its sovereignty over the water resources.

पाकिस्तान के उप-प्रधानमंत्री इशाक डार ने भारत के साथ सिंधु जल संधि को फिर से शुरू करने में कनाडा से मदद मांगी है। डार ने भारत पर समझौते को निलंबित करने और पानी को हथियार बनाने का आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने अंतरराष्ट्रीय कानून का पालन करने को कहा। वहीं, भारत का कहना है कि आतंकवाद के कारण उसकी स्थिति अभी भी निलंबित है। पाकिस्तान सिंधु नदी को अपने अस्तित्व के लिए महत्वपूर्ण मानता है और जल संसाधनों पर अपनी संप्रभुता की रक्षा करने की कसम खाई है।
