Nepal has requested China's assistance to rebuild the Syaphrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road, a vital trade route, following severe damage from recent flash floods. The floods, triggered by an ice-rock avalanche near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26, devastated northern and central Nepal, causing significant loss of life and missing persons. The road, undergoing a Chinese-funded upgrade, suffered extensive damage, disrupting trade. Preliminary estimates suggest NRs 55 billion is needed for repairs.

नेपाल ने हाल की विनाशकारी बाढ़ से क्षतिग्रस्त हुए एक महत्वपूर्ण व्यापार मार्ग, सयाफ्रूबेसी-रसुवागढ़ी सड़क के पुनर्निर्माण के लिए चीन से मदद मांगी है। 26 अगस्त को नेपाल-तिब्बत सीमा के पास हिमस्खलन से आई बाढ़ ने उत्तरी और मध्य नेपाल में भारी तबाही मचाई, जिससे जान-माल का भारी नुकसान हुआ। चीनी सहायता से बन रही यह सड़क बुरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई है, जिससे व्यापार ठप हो गया है। मरम्मत के लिए करीब 55 अरब नेपाली रुपये की जरूरत बताई जा रही है।
