Toddler Bitten by Coyote in LA; DNA Confirms Euthanised Animal Responsible

Wildlife officers later euthanised a coyote in the same area, and DNA testing on October 20 confirmed it was responsible for the attack. The child was treated and released from the hospital. Residents had complained for months about the coyote's presence, with some alleging it was being fed, leading to increased boldness. This incident has prompted questions about whether earlier intervention could have prevented the attack.
