West Bengal Man Arrested in Kalaburagi For Suspected Terror Links

Kalaburagi city police are investigating Mumtaz Ul Malik, a West Bengal native arrested on suspicion of having links to terrorist organisations. An examination of his cellphone revealed information about WhatsApp groups and Instagram accounts allegedly connected to Pakistani individuals and terrorist groups. Malik was reportedly added to a WhatsApp group called ‘Imam Mehndi’ by a Pakistani individual alleged to be a Lashkar-e-Taiba commander. Police are also examining his social media activity for any links to Pakistan. An FIR has been registered at the Brahmapur police station.

कलाबुरगी शहर की पुलिस मुमताज उल मलिक की जांच कर रही है, जो पश्चिम बंगाल का रहने वाला है और आतंकी संगठनों से जुड़े होने के शक में गिरफ्तार हुआ है। उसके मोबाइल फोन की जांच में व्हाट्सएप ग्रुप और इंस्टाग्राम अकाउंट्स के बारे में जानकारी मिली है, जो कथित तौर पर पाकिस्तानी व्यक्तियों और आतंकी समूहों से जुड़े हैं। मलिक को कथित तौर पर लश्कर-ए-तैयबा कमांडर के एक पाकिस्तानी व्यक्ति द्वारा 'इमाम मेहंदी' नाम के व्हाट्सएप ग्रुप में जोड़ा गया था। पुलिस पाकिस्तान से किसी भी संबंध के लिए उसकी सोशल मीडिया गतिविधि की भी जांच कर रही है। ब्रह्मपुर पुलिस स्टेशन में एक एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है।
