Bombay HC Upholds Conviction of 3 in 2011 Keenan-Reuben Murder Case

The Bombay High Court has upheld the conviction of three men in the 2011 Keenan Santos and Reuben Fernandez murder case. While Jitendra Rana's murder conviction was upheld, his life sentence was reduced to 20 years without remission. Two other accused were acquitted of murder charges but their conviction for simple hurt, carrying a one-year sentence, was upheld. The case involved the fatal stabbing of Santos and Fernandez outside an eatery after they confronted men harassing their friends. One accused died during the appeal process.
