Fire Guts 17 Vehicles at Lucknow EV Showroom; Battery Short Circuit Suspected

A fire erupted at the Sarla and Sons EV Scooter Showroom in Lucknow's Gola Bazaar area on Wednesday evening, destroying eight electric scooters and nine motorcycles. The blaze quickly spread, causing panic and damaging a neighbouring utensil shop. Firefighters were dispatched and brought the fire under control within an hour. A battery short circuit inside the showroom is the suspected cause, although the exact reason is still under investigation by authorities. The incident highlights potential safety concerns with electric vehicle storage.

लखनऊ के गोला बाज़ार इलाके में सरला एंड संस ईवी स्कूटर शोरूम में बुधवार शाम आग लग गई। इसमें आठ इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर और नौ मोटरसाइकिल जलकर खाक हो गईं। आग तेज़ी से फैली, जिससे अफरातफरी मच गई और पास की एक बर्तन की दुकान को भी नुकसान पहुंचा। दमकल की गाड़ियां मौके पर पहुंचीं और एक घंटे के अंदर आग पर काबू पा लिया। माना जा रहा है कि शोरूम के अंदर बैटरी शॉर्ट सर्किट से आग लगी, हालांकि असली वजह का पता लगाने के लिए अधिकारी जांच कर रहे हैं। इस घटना से इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों के स्टोरेज को लेकर सुरक्षा संबंधी चिंताएं बढ़ गई हैं।
