Indian para swimmer Mohammad Shams Alam Sheikh has been sent back to India from the Asian Para Games in Japan following serious allegations of sexual harassment. The incident reportedly occurred at the hotel where the Indian para swimming team was staying. Sheikh is accused of harassing a female housekeeping staff member in his room. Following a complaint, Japanese police detained him, and he was repatriated the next day. The Paralympic Committee of India is considering strict disciplinary action, potentially including a lifetime ban, after the games conclude.
