Bangladesh is celebrating Durga Puja with extensive security measures in place across the country. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir have extended greetings to the Hindu community, emphasizing communal harmony and equal rights for all citizens. This year, 33,851 puja mandaps have been established nationwide, an increase of nearly 1,500 from the previous year. Security includes round-the-clock surveillance, police presence, specialized units, and technological aids like drones and a mobile app for reporting incidents.
