The Madras High Court has issued an interim order restraining a Tamil magazine from publishing content that links a former minister to the Palani temple land scam. The court directed the magazine to remove existing articles and videos and refrain from publishing similar content. The former minister, R Sakkarapani, filed a suit against Junior Vikatan and others, arguing that such allegations damage his reputation. The judge noted that the publications suggested the investigation could reach the former minister, causing prejudice that damages alone might not compensate.

मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने एक तमिल मैगज़ीन को पूर्व मंत्री को पालानी मंदिर भूमि घोटाले से जोड़ने वाली सामग्री प्रकाशित करने से रोकने का अंतरिम आदेश जारी किया है। कोर्ट ने मैगज़ीन को मौजूदा लेखों और वीडियो को हटाने और ऐसी सामग्री प्रकाशित करने से बचने का निर्देश दिया। पूर्व मंत्री आर. सक्करपानी ने जूनियर विकटन और अन्य के खिलाफ मुकदमा दायर किया, यह तर्क देते हुए कि ऐसे आरोप उनकी प्रतिष्ठा को नुकसान पहुंचाते हैं। जज ने कहा कि प्रकाशनों से पता चलता है कि जांच पूर्व मंत्री तक पहुंच सकती है, जिससे पूर्वाग्रह पैदा होता है जिसकी भरपाई केवल हर्जाने से नहीं हो सकती।
