ECI Approves 353 Polling Stations for Allahabad-Jhansi Graduates' Seat Election

The Election Commission of India has approved 353 polling stations for the upcoming 2026 biennial election to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from the Allahabad-Jhansi Graduates’ constituency. Prayagraj will host the highest number of stations with 152, followed by Jhansi with 47. The constituency spans ten districts, and fifteen candidates, including two women, are contesting. The Bharatiya Janata Party and Samajwadi Party are fielding two candidates each, while the rest are independents.

भारत के चुनाव आयोग ने उत्तर प्रदेश विधान परिषद की इलाहाबाद-झांसी स्नातक सीट के लिए 2026 की द्विवार्षिक चुनाव हेतु 353 मतदान केंद्रों को मंजूरी दे दी है। प्रयागराज में सबसे अधिक 152 केंद्र होंगे, उसके बाद झांसी में 47 केंद्र होंगे। इस निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में दस जिले आते हैं, और कुल पंद्रह उम्मीदवार, जिनमें दो महिलाएं शामिल हैं, चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। भारतीय जनता पार्टी और समाजवादी पार्टी दो-दो उम्मीदवार उतार रही हैं, जबकि बाकी निर्दलीय हैं।
