Madras HC: House Husbands Can Be New Normal

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court suggested that 'house husbands' could become a new normal, akin to housewives, to preserve marriage and family institutions. Justices G.R. Swaminathan and M.D. Sumathi noted that women are increasingly career-oriented, sometimes viewing marriage as an impediment. They proposed that husbands opting to be homemakers might remedy the rise in unmarried women and preserve relationships, especially in demanding sectors like IT.

मद्रास हाई कोर्ट की मदुरै बेंच ने कहा कि 'हाउस हसबैंड' भी 'हाउसवाइफ' की तरह आम हो सकते हैं। इससे शादी और परिवार बचेंगे। जजों ने कहा कि आजकल महिलाएं करियर पर ज्यादा ध्यान दे रही हैं और शादी को बाधा मानती हैं। उन्होंने सुझाव दिया कि अगर पुरुष घर संभालने लगें तो शादीशुदा लोगों की बढ़ती संख्या और रिश्तों को बचाने में मदद मिलेगी, खासकर IT जैसे क्षेत्रों में।
