Maruti Dzire emerged as India's best-selling car in the first half of FY2027, selling 1,25,988 units between April and September 2026. It narrowly beat Tata Punch, which recorded 1,23,287 units and led the SUV rankings. Eight models surpassed the one-lakh sales mark during this period, with total domestic passenger vehicle sales increasing by 28.32% year-on-year. The top 50 models accounted for approximately 94% of the domestic market.
