State-run UPSRTC buses in Uttar Pradesh have been found exceeding the 80 kmph speed limit, with one AC bus recorded at 107 kmph for nearly 15 minutes. A month-long review identified 56 drivers for speeding violations, including 43 exceeding 90 kmph and 13 over 100 kmph. The corporation plans counselling and training for repeat offenders, with concerns raised about potential tampering with speed-limiting devices. This comes amid a high toll from road accidents involving buses in Uttar Pradesh, which have resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries.

उत्तर प्रदेश में राज्य की यूपीएसआरटीसी बसें 80 किमी प्रति घंटे की गति सीमा को पार कर रही हैं, एक एसी बस को लगभग 15 मिनट तक 107 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से चलते हुए रिकॉर्ड किया गया। एक महीने की समीक्षा में 56 ड्राइवरों को तेज गति से गाड़ी चलाने के लिए चिह्नित किया गया, जिनमें से 43 ने 90 किमी प्रति घंटे से अधिक और 13 ने 100 किमी प्रति घंटे से अधिक की गति से गाड़ी चलाई। निगम बार-बार गलती करने वालों के लिए काउंसलिंग और प्रशिक्षण की योजना बना रहा है, साथ ही स्पीड-लिमिटिंग डिवाइस के साथ छेड़छाड़ की संभावना पर भी चिंता जताई गई है।
