Language Skills Crucial for Indian Nurses Seeking Overseas Jobs, Says Minister
The Hindu · india
Indian nursing and paramedical graduates aiming for international employment, particularly in Germany, Japan, Italy, and the United States, must prioritize language proficiency. Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil stated that language is the primary barrier preventing many from securing well-paid positions abroad. He emphasized the need for nurses to acquire fluency in English and the languages of their target countries. The Karnataka government is also enhancing transparency and convenience by moving nursing registration and renewal services entirely online, allowing professionals to access these from home.
