The Panathur railway underbridge in Bengaluru was submerged again following Friday evening's rainfall, causing a car attempting to cross the stretch to float. This marks the fourth instance of flooding at this location since July, raising serious concerns about the adequacy of drainage infrastructure. Residents have consistently highlighted issues with insufficient drainage, sewage overflow, and potholes in the area, particularly along Panathur Main Road and the underpass. Despite road-widening projects, the drainage improvements have not kept pace, leading to recurring waterlogging problems.

शुक्रवार शाम की बारिश के बाद बेंगलुरु का पनाथुर रेलवे अंडरब्रिज एक बार फिर डूब गया, जिससे इस रास्ते को पार करने की कोशिश कर रही एक कार बह गई। जुलाई के बाद से इस जगह पर बाढ़ आने की यह चौथी घटना है, जिससे जल निकासी के बुनियादी ढांचे की पर्याप्तता पर गंभीर चिंताएं बढ़ गई हैं। निवासियों ने लगातार इस क्षेत्र में, विशेष रूप से पनाथुर मेन रोड और अंडरपास के साथ, अपर्याप्त जल निकासी, सीवेज ओवरफ्लो और गड्ढों के मुद्दों को उजागर किया है। सड़क चौड़ीकरण परियोजनाओं के बावजूद, जल निकासी में सुधार की गति धीमी रही है, जिससे बार-बार जलभराव की समस्याएँ हो रही हैं।
