Karwa Chauth Moon Sighting Times Across India

Aaj Tak · lifestyle

Married women across India observed the Karwa Chauth fast, abstaining from food and water from sunrise to moonrise for their husbands' long lives and marital happiness. The puja, dedicated to Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Karwa Mata, is followed by the eagerly awaited moon sighting. In Delhi, the moon is expected around 8:17 PM, with timings varying across different cities. The fast is traditionally broken after viewing the moon and performing rituals, often with the husband's involvement.
