Citadel founder Ken Griffin has made a record-breaking pledge of $3 billion to Carnegie Mellon University, the largest single donation in higher education history. Of this amount, $2 billion will fund a new 35-acre interdisciplinary campus in Miami. The remaining $1 billion will support Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science in Pittsburgh and other university-wide initiatives.
