KMF Hikes Ghee, Butter, Paneer Prices Sharply; Consumers Face Further Burden
Times of India · business
The Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (KMF) has significantly increased prices for Nandini ghee, butter, and paneer, effective Wednesday, November 4. Ghee prices have risen by Rs 135 per kg, and butter by Rs 140 per kg, adding to recent hikes in milk, curd, and bus fares. This move will strain household budgets and increase input costs for hotels, restaurants, and bakeries. The cascading effect is expected to lead to higher prices for food items and restaurant meals, impacting consumers already dealing with rising dairy costs.
