Rao carried a combined bounty of Rs 6 crore across six states: Maharashtra, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha. His surrender marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to address Maoist insurgency in central India.
