EC Clarification on SIR Puts Misconceptions to Rest

Chandrababu Naidu stated that the Election Commission's unanimous clarification on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has resolved all misconceptions. He affirmed that decisions regarding the SIR were made collectively and followed institutional protocols. Naidu emphasized that electoral outcomes reflect the people's mandate and leaders must accept victories and defeats with humility. He also noted that attempts to undermine confidence in India's democratic framework for political gain are unfortunate.

आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री एन. चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने कहा कि चुनावी रोल के स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन (SIR) पर चुनाव आयोग के एकमत स्पष्टीकरण ने सभी गलतफहमियों को दूर कर दिया है। उन्होंने पुष्टि की कि SIR के संबंध में निर्णय सामूहिक रूप से लिए गए थे और संस्थागत प्रोटोकॉल का पालन किया गया था। नायडू ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि चुनावी नतीजे जनता के जनादेश को दर्शाते हैं और नेताओं को जीत और हार को विनम्रता से स्वीकार करना चाहिए। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि राजनीतिक लाभ के लिए भारत के लोकतांत्रिक ढांचे में विश्वास को कम करने के प्रयास दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण हैं।
