Ebola infections in the Democratic Republic of the Congo have surpassed 7,200 cases since the latest outbreak began. Health authorities reported that 3,475 people have died, resulting in a case fatality rate of 48.3%. The virus has spread across 62 health zones in seven provinces. Currently, 1,712 patients have recovered, and 923 remain under care. Officials are monitoring 88% of identified contacts.
