The Khairatabad Assembly seat in Telangana has officially fallen vacant following the disqualification of MLA Danam Nagender. The State Legislative Assembly Secretariat issued a notification on Monday, September 28, 2026, formalizing his removal. This action stems from a Telangana High Court order on September 18, which disqualified Nagender under anti-defection laws. He was found to have contested the Lok Sabha elections as a Congress candidate while being elected on a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) ticket. The Supreme Court also refused to grant him relief, upholding the disqualification.

तेलंगाना में खैरताबाद विधानसभा सीट विधायक दानम नागेंद्र को अयोग्य ठहराए जाने के बाद आधिकारिक तौर पर खाली हो गई है। राज्य विधानमंडल सचिवालय ने सोमवार, 28 सितंबर, 2026 को एक अधिसूचना जारी कर उनकी बर्खास्तगी को औपचारिक रूप दिया। यह कार्रवाई 18 सितंबर को तेलंगाना हाई कोर्ट के एक आदेश से उपजी है, जिसने दल-बदल विरोधी कानूनों के तहत नागेंद्र को अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया था। उन पर भारत राष्ट्र समिति (BRS) के टिकट पर चुने जाने के बावजूद कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार के रूप में लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ने का आरोप था। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भी उन्हें राहत देने से इनकार कर दिया, जिससे अयोग्यता बरकरार रही।
